Of course!! Everytime you go to class just smoke a bowl before you go in! Trust me this helps so much and it makes the class more enjoyable!

Same problem here, im finishing my freshman year in college. thats exactly how i started im totally different now i have a lot of self worth and more outgoing, and im only commuting. maybe try commuting to a school for a year or two before you stay at one, it might ease the transition. Good luck [= By the way im a major in psych so i know everything about anxiety and i have it, sucks, so believe me youll get through school and learn alot about yourself and mature without realizing it and see what you like about yourself and forget what you dont like. trust me

Is it a medical condition, or all self-induced. If medical, simply take your pills. But, if it's self induced remember that it's not the end of the world and their will always be a tomorrow. + Read "The Fountain Head " by Ayn Rand. It might help.

Lol! low self worth is easily remedied in college. you'll find so much more diversity at a college that ever at a highschool, you'll find a group to hang out wth that will make you feel so good about yourself. college can be an amazing experience that shudn't be missed out on.

You could start out by just taking a couple classes and see how it goes, and if you think you can take on more than add more. I am a single parent, I work full time, Go to school full time, and have had anxiety attacks because of this, but I just dropped back on class each quarter. Instead of taking 16 credits, I'm taking 12, and that is what I can handle and it's working fine for me. Give a couple classes a try, and try to mix classes that you're excited to take along with a class you're not so excited so you don't end up with a bunch of classes you hate, that can cause a lot of anxiety too.

Well, you can go to college...i have a lot of anxiety-(social anxiety) but i will go to college starting next fall. yes im nervous, but i look at it like this, if i dont push myself, then i wont learn any skills for life...so yea i think that you should go...a mind is a terrible thing to waste...if you think that your anxiety is unbearable, then talk to a doctor about...maybe they can futher help you....i hope this helps....i know what your going through becuase im deal with the same problem right now..and im 18....so i hope this helps...if you have any other question just send me a message....good luck

Sure, most college students are hippies who live and die by the plant. They are pretty mellow. It sure ain't going to be like highschool, unless you're in with the frats.

Yes it is possible. A lot of people experience anxiety when they have to start new things and going to college can trigger such feelings. Focus your attention on your studies and strive hard. If you feel that you are not performing well, you can join study groups. Don't allow your feelings of low self worth hinder you from achieving your goals. Everything can be complemented with your efforts and with prayers and God's guidance. If you study hard and you love what you're doing, you will excel in time. I hope that all things will work out well as you start another chapter in your life and May God bless you in your endeavor.

Im irish, ive heard american highschools are brutal, that it is primarily about exclusion and alienation, separating the beautiful and popular from the intellegent and shy, college regardless of its place in the world is always the same, acceptance and fun, the kind of place where you can reach out and ask for help and someone will help you

Yes. Don't try just do. Lots of people have these issues at some point in their lives. Don't let it hold you back.
