Question: Since i was little i have been bullied, now im 18...i have no self esteem and think im not good enough.?

Thing is, i know in my hearts of hearts that i am a nice person and that i am beautiful, just theres something inside of me that stops me from actually feeling it. What can i do to feel better? :( this has been going on for too long and my self esteem has been shattered by bullying, sexual abuse from my brother, physical abuse and emotional abuse from my parents, rape and being in an abusive relationship...sorry to complain but, i guess these are the reasons why my self esteem is low. I am receiving professional help but it is doing nothing to help what so ever. i just feel as though no guy would ever want to take me on knowing i have low self esteem, guys like confident girls..and while i put on a brave face, i'm never truly comfortable in my own skin.

That you are not receiving any help in your therapy is no surprise, it really isnt geared toward healing or even helping people with these issues. I was bullied back in my high school years, I was bullied a little more mildly during my college years, I'm still quite a lonely person and I find it difficult to socialize unless I manage to get down to a bar when my acquaintances are down there. I was always told my place in life by kids at school, I had absolutely no friends for about 12 years and I used to contemplate suicide but then you realize you don't need people to make you happy, real friends like you for who you are, these people are just insecure and not worth talking to.

I'm also on that situation.. i hav low self confidence and self esteem.. i'm afraid of what other people might say about me.. i also kinda keep myself away from the other people.. i actually stopped skooling twice, bcoz i wasnt happy being in skool anymore.. i've no friends, i can't show the real me in skool so i quit.. lucky u, coz u said ur pretty.. me, i guess that's d reason why i'm not that socially outgoing and scared of what others might say about me..:(

You Should try to feel highly of yourself, take advantage and attempt to make yourself feel stronger. Your Being Way TOO sensitive about theses things. Don't let others mistreat you or listen to their ignorant crap. it shouldn't matter to you and you shouldn't give up that easily. you should follow your own feelings and look at the bright side. Find Something that gives you a positive feeling and show them that you cant be stepped on anymore. Everyone has something special about themselves that makes each individual beautiful so don't worry about other peoples comments. i know you can be tougher than that.
