Question: Tips for boosting self esteem?

Almost my whole life someone has tried destroying my confidence.

This will only happen if you let it. Remember you are as good as anybody else. Imagine everyone else naked. Do something you have been putting off. Do something you are good at. Stop thinking about yourself, low self esteem is often accompanied by too much focus on the self. If you are feeling low, anxious or lacking in confidence, the first thing to do is to stop thinking and relax properly. Remember all the things you have achieved. Remember that you could be wrong!

One of my friends says, "To get self-esteem, do esteemable acts. " I find doing service for others really helps me feel better about myself - volunteer, do small, anonymous, kindnesses for others, try to figure out how to make another person's day better. Best wishes!

Remember, that people who put you down are only out to make themselves feel better. You have been given a beautiful body, life and soul and they all work so beautifully. Affirmations will help you, remember that everyone is beautiful and it's only the words that come out of our mouths that make us "ugly ". Get up in the morning and say to yourself, you know what.. i am beautiful, smart and maybe i am vunerable but I am wonderful... because you are.. hope it helps.. chin up
